OS X Leopard to Launch in January

Grateful to Apple for its assistance, a group has finally finished OpenCL after six months of dedicated work, and in just enough time for OpenCL to be included in the OS X Snow Leopard.  The completed standard permits enhanced leveraging of Graphic Processing Units (GPUs), as well as additional hardware devices.  Set to endure the process of patenting, the OpenCL standard spec will be made available via demos just thirty days after passing patent approval.
