  1. I was considering these guys, but was concerned about the costs involved. So I did some research. Here is what I found:

Dozens of complaints like those listed here.

A bunch of lawsuits, here are a list of just some: http://monex.to/wiki/Federal_Court_Cases

They use a bunch of different names.

They owe the IRS $378,000,000! That is not a typo. http://ocbiz.ocregister.com/2008/06/24/us-sues-monex-for-378-million-in-back-taxes/2441/

They have a D- with the BBB: http://www.la.bbb.org/business-reviews/Gold-Silver-and-Platinum-Dealers/Monex-in-Newport-Beach-CA-24970

After reviewing that, I wouldn’t trust these guys to give me change for $1, so I’m sure not going to send them my $250,000.

  2. I just received my $30k in Eagles. oo bad if you leveraged or “didn’t have the $” If you don’t have cash, you can’t afford it..asses

  3. I have had very good results and advice from Monex. Most of these complaints sound like sour grapes because they didn’t read the agreement. They tell you numerous times that pm’s are risky and you should take the loss like an adult, since you made the decision to buy or sell yourself. The agents can only advise (which has been spot on so far for me.) Have you ever seen a broker that can consistently beat the index funds? If you intend to invest in pm, do it with money you can afford to lose! That being said, you can also make a fortune if you truly know the market.

  6. When buying precious metal from Monex be aware that the take forever to deliver the product. It took 3 weeeks for them to deliver the product! The used car salesman that was my contact had one excuse after another. As a recent competitor said on a comercial they do not deliver in the time promised.

  8. Hi I just recently went through something similar with monex. I wanted to purchase some metals and spoke to a represented name Collen Gamble. I was quoted a price that was recorded over the phone of me agreeing to the purchase. I was told where to send the money but I call monex a day later and told colleen I was having a delay in sending the money and said it might take a week to send it. She seemed irritated almost pushy to when she was getting the money. She told me if I dont follow through sending the money it would hurt my future business with monex but nothing was said about being liable for any losses that would incur. Once Colleen told me this and her pushy aptitude it set some red flags up and I decided not to pursue any business with monex I did get letters and a statement showing the price quote and a cancellation on the order. This way of doing business of quoting a price and wanting immediate payment doesn’t work for everyone. It should be set up to make an account and then send money to that account. The money is already there to use.

Hope to hear what happen with your case.

  9. I was ripped off for $52,000 dollars by being promised what you invested you would get back when it came to the rare coins either on trade or when you sell. If you finance a coin even if you pay it up to the last $1.00 you owe them, you get a 15% restocking fee even though you never have possession and are paying a 6% interest rate on your finance. The CEO Adam Crum will not return your calls or e-mails. I have even written letters to him and yet he will not return your calls. As long as you spend money they are happy to talk to you but if you decide to cash in with any balance owed even with the interest being paid look out a restock fee is coming. What do they do when their Demands come for them at night. It will come home to crow on their roof someday.

  10. I ordered 100 maple leaf silver dollar coins, told monex that I wanted 2014 coins, monex said there might be a few 2013 but only a few. when I received them there were no 2014, all were 2013. monex cannot be trusted. won’t do business with them again
