Château Monbousquet Saint-Emilion 2005

The 2005 vintage of this Bordeaux red is delightfully difficult to characterize by vintners and enthusiasts alike.  It is created from a hybrid of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for a wine with multiple layers.  While consumers may want to enjoy this robust red immediately, each bottle reaches its climax after eight years in a wine cellar.
